As we've noted many times recently, it's raining Napa Cabs under $20! From the Trader Joe's Diamond Reserve Oakville Cab to the Costco Kirkland Signature Rutherford and Kirkland Signature Oakville Cabs, to the Aldi Specially Selected Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, just to name a few, there are a lot of options out there. Unfortunately, some of them just aren't very good so let's check out the latest vintage of this one.

The last time we reviewed this wine it was made by Precision Wine Co., while this time around it is made by DNA Vineyards.
The 2021 Trader Joe's Platinum Reserve Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Lot #113 begins with a pleasing aroma of blackberry and plum fruit plus cola, spice, vanilla and a bit of a green note.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be a smooth, easy, crowd-pleasing Cab with a good amount of oak influence, but it carries it well. It's not as complex as I would have hoped for Oakville but it is still pretty tasty. It features similar flavors to the nose, except I'm not getting the green notes in the mouth. It also has nice oaky spice notes throughout and into the finish.
It ends dry and a bit grippy and oaky on the long finish. It was just as good on day 2.
