Summer Ship (+$8) – Includes heat protection (styrofoam), freeze packs (when necessary), an upgrade to UPS 2-day shipping to minimize transit time when your order ships, and packages will only ship Monday through Wednesday to avoid them sitting somewhere hot over a weekend. Because we’re only shipping at the beginning of the week, these orders may take a bit more time to ship after the conclusion of the offer (likely 5-12 days rather than our normal 5-10).

These orders have an additional cost of $8 built into the product price for this Heat Protection Package. It is NOT possible (nor would it be advisable!) to purchase a deal with summer shipping without also including the Heat Protection Package.

Summer Hold (No Extra Charge) – Buy your wine now and have your shipment held (at no extra charge) for delivery in October! While we take every precaution we can with our Summer Shipping protocol, we also know that many of you travel or live in very hot areas where you don’t want to risk it (or you simply detest styrofoam).

Our flagship wine, a full-bodied, single-vineyard red blend, grants a nod toward elegance. Cabernet Sauvignon-driven, this Bordeaux-style blend is silky, reserved and supremely balanced.

Lush aromatics of raspberry and dark cherry with a hint of eucalyptus, The Oracle is decadent, but with finesse. Earthiness and layers of dried flowers and cocoa integrate harmoniously into a finely balanced marriage between tannin and acid, providing the structure that ensures, like all impeccable beauties, this wine is sure to age gracefully.

VINTAGE NOTES: Napa Valley got off to a wet start in 2019, with significant rainfall that kept soils moist longer than in a typical year. The summer was long and warm but saw temperatures that rarely got extreme. Such near-ideal conditions resulted in extended hang time, along with beautifully colored and structured fruit. Overall, the growing season and harvest provided our winemaking team with the ingredients to make it a great vintage.

The 2019 Miner The Oracle Napa Valley Red opens with beautiful dark berry fruit aromas plus very well-integrated spice, violets, dark chocolate, mint, cedar, espresso, dried herbs and more. You find something new every time you sniff it! It’s a fantastic, very harmonious start.

Taking a sip reveals the wine to be smooth, plush and deep with layers of rich dark, juicy fruit plus all the other touches from the nose in this wonderfully balanced and structured wine. It’s simply fabulous.

A burst of oaky spice and some lovely tannins lead into the dry, very long and very satisfying finish. It’s a splurge but this is a wine to remember! The wine was similar on day 2 and surprisingly just as good on day 3 too if you really want to make this one last.

If you’re planning ahead for some special bottles for the holidays this is the perfect choice!
